Capital Bank was the recipient of the Grand National Award for Community Service, given by The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) in 2007 and also received the Grand National Bank award in 2004, making this presentation the second time the bank has won the award. Over 5000 community banks are associated with the ICBA.
The ICBA award also comes on the heels of Capital Bank being named the community service award winner during 2006 by the Community Bankers Association of Georgia. Capital Bank also was named the Large Business of the Year by the Catoosa Chamber of Commerce and System Partner of the Year by Partnership 2000.
Capital Bank employees frequently volunteer their services to schools, civic organizations and charities. They are mentors to school-aged children, build Habitat for Humanities homes, raise money for local charities and organize two major women’s health events each year, among other endeavors. Capital Bank is well known as a “giving” bank, giving not only of their money but also of their time and efforts.
