Kasasa Gas Giveaway
On August 16th, 2012, Capital Bank took part in the Kasasa Gas Giveaway at The Corner Market on Dayton Boulevard. The Kasasa Gas Giveaway was an event sponsored by Kasasa in which $80,000 of gasoline was given away in 20 cities across the United States. The purpose of the event was to spread the word about Kasasa, and to highlight the fact that Kasasa accounts give consumers rewards that matter.
Joe Haskins, Chairman and CEO of Capital Bank, was on hand pumping gas and cleaning windshields for those fortunate ones that received free gas along with Craig Swafford, Brandy Hendricksen and Stephen Rucker. The event generated media attention across the country, and locally was featured on the Chattanooga Times Free Press, WDEF Channel 12, WRCB Channel 3, and Talk Radio WGOW 102.3.
Capital Bank launched the Kasasa program in February 2012 in an effort to offer consumers in our service checking account options that reward consumers with High interest rates or actual cash back each month. Capital Bank is pleased to offer Kasasa Cash and Kasasa Cash Back; we would love for you to stop in one of our convenient branches, give us a call, or check it out at www.kasasa.com/capitalbank.
Capital Bank & Kasasa Take Over the Lookouts
On August 24th, 2012, Capital Bank hosted a takeover event of a Chattanooga Lookouts game and postgame fireworks show to highlight our Kasasa Cash and Kasasa Cash Back accounts. Capital Bank gave 300 free tickets to the game, and had a Facebook Photo Contest for the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at the game. The Facebook photo contest asked people to submit photos dressed as superheroes to Capital Bank's fan page. The picture with the most "Likes" won the opportunity to throw out the first pitch. The reason we asked for pictures of people dressed as superheroes is that Kasasa checking accounts empower the consumer to earn rewards that matter in the form of High interest or actual cash back each month.
Capital Bank setup a tent and photo booth outside the stadium and took pictures of anyone who wanted to have their picture taken with Kasasa props or Chattanooga Lookouts props with an awesome Baseball field backdrop. The first 3,000 fans at the game also received a Capital Bank Kasasa Koozie or stress ball. Prior to the first pitch Capital Bank Chairman and CEO, Dr. Joe Haskins addressed the crowd to tell them about the benefits of banking local and having a Kasasa account. During the game, each Lookouts base hit was a Kasasa rally starter. Even though the Lookouts did not prevail that night, a great time was had by all and the Kasasa Fireworks topped off a wonderful evening.
